Provider materials and tools
Magellan Complete Care values the exceptional level of service and care that our providers give to our members. As we continue to expand the practitioner network to support our members, it is important that we remind the provider community about balance billing. All providers; regardless of their affiliation with Magellan Complete Care, are not permitted to balance bill members.
Examples of balance billing includes; billing a member for:
- A co-payment
- Upfront payment
- Covered Services
- Missed appointment charges
Missed appointments are considered by AHCA as a part of the provider’s overall cost of doing business. As a provider, it is your responsibility to verify eligibility at the time of each office visit. Non-Medicaid or Non Magellan Complete Care contracted providers:
We appreciate the high level of service that you have provided to our members. Our goal is to partner with you to ensure that our members receive the best care possible; and that you receive timely payments for services that you provide to our members. To become a Magellan Complete Care contracted provider, please call us at 1-800-327-8613.
To receive payment without contracting with Magellan Complete Care, Medicaid, or come under obligation to accept new Magellan Complete Care members; providers must register for a Medicaid registration only ID. This applies only to providers who are non-Medicaid or not a Magellan Complete Care contracted provider that have performed services for a Medicaid member.
